  Did you get a new router or internet service? If so, you will need to set up your router to forward to your DVR so your camera phone app will work again.

  If you didn’t change anything and it stopped working, it might be because your IP address changed. Every internet connection in the world has its own IP address. So unless you are paying the internet provider, the internet provider can change the IP address whenever they want. Because of this, if you camera app stops working, you first want to check if your IP address has changed.

  

  Check your IP Address

  1. Open the camera app on your smartphone (This app might change)

  5. Assuming you can log into router and port forwarding is already set up, look at two things;
     • First: The list of devices connected to the router (or internet)
     • Second: A section called “Advanced Set-up” where you will find the port forwarding information
       • Once you are here, you can then edit the local IP to forward to if it is incorrect
       • Chances are, right now it is forwarding to the local IP address of 192.168.1.2. Or 192.168.1.3 or 192.168.1.4…etc
       • Using trial and error, if you change the last number, save, try the app again, and repeat, you should be able to find out which is the correct local IP address

  Security cameras are becoming quite popular these days as prices continue to fall and new features are added. Compared to what we had just a decade ago, home security cameras can do some amazing things. The Nooie Cam 360 is a good example of that and is the first indoor camera that I have ever owned. Priced at just $49, the Nooie Cam 360 offers quite a few features that you might not expect. I didn’t have any expectations when I got it but I have been pleasantly surprised with the performance of the camera. Unfortunately, you will need to download the Nooie Cam app to operate the cam. Unlike the actual device, the app needs a bit of work to deliver a reliable user experience.

  Design

  The design of the Nooie Cam 360 reminds me of a soft boiled egg on an egg cup. The bottom half is gray and has a small status light to indicate that the device is on. This same light is what you will also use when setting up the device for the first time. The top half of the cam is white with a black oval in the center that houses the actual camera. Although this camera does not provide one in the box, there’s a slot below the camera for a class 6 microSD card, from 4GG to 128GB.

  The Nooie Cam 360 is a fairly small device with a dimension of 4.9 x 3.07 x 3.07 inches. It’s also very light since it only weighs 14.9 ounces. As long as there is an outlet close enough, the small stature makes it easy to place it almost anywhere. If you want, you can even mount it on a wall or ceiling.

  The accessories that are included in the box include a power adapter, cable, wall mount, and screws. It was quite surprising to see that a power adapter was provided since it seems like most devices nowadays only include the cable. The wall mount and screws are nice to have but I will not be using them since this device will mostly sit on my entertainment stand.

  

  Setup

  The Nooie Cam 360 was simple to set up, although I did run into an issue that was somewhat frustrating. To get started, you’ll need to download the Nooie Cam app from either Google Play or the Apple App Store and then follow the on-screen instructions to get the camera up and running. A very important thing to be aware of is that the cam will only work on a Wi-Fi network that is 2.4GHz and does not support 5GHz. If you’re like me, my iPhone was always set to 5GHz at home, forcing me to manually change it to 2.4GHz in order to make sure that the app would work correctly.

  If you fail to do so, the only thing you’ll see on your app is a black screen when looking at the camera. After setting up your network, the app will provide you a QR code that you will need to hold in front of the Nooie Cam 360 to complete the setup. This part is what frustrated me the most, taking several minutes for the camera to finally recognize the QR code.

  Use

  Even though I knew that the Nooie Cam 360 was 1080P HD, I was astonished to see the quality of the video images. The images are superb and I love that I can even zoom in. Just note that zooming in will be a digital crop, resulting in a degraded image the further you zoom in. Night vision is just as impressive.   “Just recently, by air mail, I received an invitation to a wedding that will take place in England on April 18th.” So begins “For Esme – with Love and Squalor,” one of the most beloved entries in Nine Stories. The narrator goes on to explain that the wedding is one he would very much like to attend, but his mother-in-law is looking forward to seeing him and his wife around that time, so he is obliged to skip it. He decides nonetheless to jot down “a few revealing notes on the bride as I knew her almost six years ago.” What follows is the story of his encounter with Esme…

  The year is 1944, and the narrator is “among some sixty American enlisted men” stationed in Devon, England, training for the invasion of the continent. At the end of three weeks, the group of soldiers is scheduled to travel to London, where rumor has it they will “be assigned to infantry and airborne divisions mustered for the D Day landings.” The last day of the training, after packing his bags for the London trip, the narrator strolls through Devon and happens upon a church in the center of town. The bulletin board on the church’s façade catches his attention; at three-fifteen, there is to be a “children’s-choir practice” inside. The narrator thinks for a moment, then enters the church.

  The practice is already underway, and the narrator, sitting in the pews, becomes entranced by one of the singing children – a girl of about thirteen, “with straight ash-blond hair of ear-lobe length, an exquisite forehead, and blasé eyes that, I thought, might very possibly have counted the house.” Her voice is the “sweetest-sounding” of the bunch, but she seems somewhat “bored with her own singing ability.”

  Having been transfixed by this sight (and sound), the narrator exits the church as soon as the singing ends and the choir coach begins to lecture. He walks through town and steps into a mostly-empty “civilian tearoom,” there ordering tea and a piece of cinnamon toast. Shortly thereafter, the girl he had noticed in the church enters the tearoom, accompanied by an “efficient-looking woman” – apparently her governess – and a younger boy – apparently her brother. They take a seat a few tables down.

  After some time, the girl notices that the narrator is staring in her direction. She gets up and approaches him. He notes her dress – “It seemed to be a wonderful dress for a very young girl to be wearing on a rainy, rainy day” – and asks her, after she’s remarked that she “thought Americans despised tea”, if she’d like to join him.

  She agrees, and the narrator and his newfound companion launch into a conversation that spans various subjects. The narrator explains that he saw the girl at choir practice; it turns out she already knew. The girl has plans to be a jazz singer on the radio; after making “heaps of money”, she will “retire and live on a ranch in Ohio.” She asks the narrator if he goes “to that secret Intelligence school on the hill.” He replies that he is visiting Devon for his health. “Really,” she quips, “I wasn’t quite born yesterday, you know.”

  While her governess motions for her to return to their table, the girl, whose name we learn is Esme, throws around fancy words – “gregarious”, for instance – and asks the narrator if he is married. He is.

  “I’m training myself to be more compassionate,” she says later. “My aunt says I’m a terribly cold person. […] I live with my aunt. She’s an extremely kind person. Since the death of my mother, she’s done everything within her power to make Charles and me feel adjusted.” She says her mother was “quite sensuous”, as though unsure of what the word means. After explaining that “Mother was an extremely intelligent person,” she says her father was a “genius” and “really needed more of an intellectual companion than Mother was.” We learn that the father of whom she speaks was killed in North Africa during the war.

  Esme’s younger brother, Charles, comes to join the two. He plays at pulling the tablecloth and putting it over his face. Then he tells the narrator a joke. “What did one wall say to the other wall?” he asks. “Meet you at the corner!” Then he bursts into delirious laughter.

  Esme asks the narrator what his job was before entering the Army. He answered that he would like to consider himself a professional short-story writer. When asked if he has been published, however, he wavers, trotting out a denouncement of American editors.

  The narrator notices the “enormous-faced, chronographic-looking wristwatch” Esme is wearing. He asks her if it belonged to her father. She answers that it did. Then she says: “I’d be extremely flattered if you’d write a story exclusively for me sometime.” The narrator replies that he will if he can, but that he isn’t “terribly prolific.” “It doesn’t have to be terribly prolific!” Esme responds excitedly. She requests simply that the story not be “childish or silly,” and notes that she prefers “stories about squalor.”

  Charles begins his wall joke again. The narrator, thinking he is humoring the boy, jumps in with the punchline. This, however, infuriates Charles, who storms off to his table. Shortly thereafter, it is time for Esme to leave as well. Before doing so, she asks: “Would you like me to write to you?” She adds: “I write extremely articulate letters.” The narrator answers that he’d love it, and gives her his information.

  Later, Esme and Charles return to the tearoom. Esme explains that Charles wants to kiss the narrator goodbye. The narrator takes the opportunity to ask Charles, “What did one wall say to the other wall?” “Meet you at the corner!” Charles shouts, his face alight.

  The story jumps ahead in time. “This is the squalid, or moving, part of the story,” the narrator notes, “and the scene changes.” It is now V-E Day, and the narrator is staying in a “civilian home” with several other soldiers in Bavaria, gaunt, shaken, recovering from a nervous breakdown and unable to sleep. He refers to himself as “Staff Sergeant X” and his friend – jeep partner and “constant companion from D Day straight through five campaigns of the war” – “Corporal Z.” We learn later that Z’s name is Earl; he remarks that X’s hand is shaking tremendously, and recalls how he looked “like a corpse” not too long ago. Evidently X’s situation was a grave one.

  After talking with Clay about Loretta, his girl back home, X says he’d rather stay up in his room than join the festivities in town. After Clay’s departure, X turns his attention to a pile of unopened letters by his writing table. He is nauseous, having vomited just moments ago, and trembling uncontrollably, when he opens up a certain letter and indifferently begins to read it.

  It’s from Esme. In her letter, she apologizes for not having written sooner, asks the narrator if he is well – betraying a good deal of worry – and asks him to “reply as speedily as possible.” Enclosed with the letter is her father’s wristwatch, and tagged on ad an addendum is a message from Charles: “HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO LOVE AND KISSES CHARLES.”

  X sees that the wristwatch has been broken in transit. He sits for a while, then, “suddenly, almost ecstatically,” feels sleepy – the first time he has experienced that feeling, we can infer, in a long, long time.

  The Shodan search engine shows that 41 million devices have port 7547 open, and 5 million devices expose TR-064s services to outside influences. Indeed, these attacks started after certain researchers published computer code that exploits the TR-064 service. It’s included as a Metasploit module. The code opens up port 80, which is the port that enables web browsing.

  Installing NMAP

  I use Kali Linux which comes with NMAP Preinstalled. If you are using Windows or Mac (or any other flavour of Linux) go to the following website to download and install NMAP.

  Search for Vulnerable Routers

  Now that we have NMAP sorted, we are going to run the following command to scan for ADSL Modem Routers based on their Banner on Port 80 to start our ADSL router hack. All you need is to pick an IP range. I’ve used an example below using 101.53.64.1/24 range.

  Search from Linux using command Line

  In Linux run the following command:

  In Windows or Mac open NMAP and copy paste this line:

  

  Once it finds the results, search for the word ‘open’ to narrow down results. A typical Linux NMAP command would return outputs line below: (and of course I’ve changed the IP details)

  

  This was taking a long time (we are after all try to scan 256 hosts using the command above). Me being just impatient, I wanted to check if my Kali Linux was actually doing anything to ADSL router hack. I used the following command in a separate Terminal to monitor what my PC was doing… it was doing a lot …

  That’s a lot of connected hosts with TCP Port 80 open. Some got ‘tcpwrapped’ marked on them. It means they are possibly not accessible.

  Search from Windows, Mac or Linux using GUI – NMAP or Zenmap

  Assuming you got NMAP installation sorted, you can now open NMAP (In Kali Linux or similar Linux distro, you can use Zenmap which is GUI version of NAMP cross platform). Copy paste the following line in Command field

  another version of this command is using different representation of Subnet MASK.

  Press SCAN Button and wait few minutes till the scan is over.

  Once you have some results, then you need to find the open devices with open ports. In search Result page:

  1. Click on Services Button
  2. Click on http Service
  3. Click on Ports/Hosts TAB (Twice to sort them by status)

  As you can see, I’ve found a few devices with open http port 80.

  It is quite amazing how many devices got ports open facing outer DMZ.

  If you can find the Router’s model number and make, you can find exact username and password from this webpage:http://portforward.com/default_username_password/ Before we finish up, I am sure you were already impatient like me as a lot of the routers had ‘tcpwrapped’ on them which was actually stopping us from accessing the web management interface to ADSL router hack. Following command will exclude those devices from our search. I’ve also expanded my search to a broader range using a slightly different Subnet MASK.

  In this command I am using /22 Subnet Mask with 2 specific outputs: I am looking for the work ‘open’ and excluding ‘tcpwrapped’ on my output. As you can see, I still get a lot of outputs.

  Conclusion

  You’ll be surprised how many have default username and passwords enabled. Once you get your access to the router, you can do a lot more, like DNS hijacking, steal username and passwords

  Having a remote control for DJ software can be useful: in addition to providing handheld access to your library, effects, mix, and deck controls, it means the freedom to walk around, hear the mix in different locations, or even queue up some songs for your next barbeque party while hanging out with your guests. Algoriddim Djay Remote for iPhone and iPod Touch is a companion application built specifically for Algoriddim’s Djay 3 software for the Mac desktop. It provides handheld control of the Mac software over wireless networks on your iPod touch or iPhone. It works only with Djay 3, but that makes sense; there’s direct integration of the two.

  Connection is automatic: connect your iOS handheld to the wifi network on which your Mac is located (or create an ad-hoc network from the Mac), and Djay Remote will automatically discover any running instances of Djay 3. The Djay app on your Mac will ask if you want to provide access; click OK, and you’re ready to go. This prevents anyone from hijacking your DJ mix with their iPhone.

  The translation of Djay’s desktop interface to the handheld is a perfect fit, partly because Djay on the desktop already sports the modern user interface design patterns common on the iPhone and iPad. While some recent iPhone music interfaces cram in lots of features, challenging your fingertips and eyeballs, the Djay Remote application is a model of elegant, friendly design, with attractive, easy-to-tap controls.   Scratching is surprisingly satisfying, thanks to Apple’s precise touch input, and since you can directly drag your finger on the record, it feels more intuitive than using a MacBook touchpad. A few features are missing—reverse, backspin, and forwardspin, for instance—but the Djay designers have gotten most of the functionality you need onto the small screen without the UI feeling cramped.

  For additional control, you can open overlays for Djay’s mix levels, new beat-matched looping, cue points, skipping, and internal audio effects. Most importantly, you can navigate your desktop iTunes library directly from the Djay Remote interface. Tap the add button, and you see the same consistent user interface you’d use when navigating your iPhone/iPod library, with Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Search—but with the storage capacity of your Mac hard drive. You can add tracks directly to a deck, or add them to an Automix queue. You can edit that queue while it’s running, and opt to turn Automix functionality on or off. There’s easily enough functionality here that you could run an entire DJ mix from a dancefloor. There’s no need to be nervous about dropped wifi connections, either; Djay will continue playing even if it temporarily loses a connection to the device, and reconnecting via Bonjour takes only a couple of seconds.

  Djay Remote is an easy purchase to recommend; anyone with a copy of Djay 3 will want it. It might even become the preferred way of queuing up and listening to music at home. But it’s also an excellent model of what Mac developers can do to add mobile companions to their desktop apps.

Microsoft manages portions of the services on the customer's behalf and provides secure endpoints for connecting clients and session hosts.   Session connectivity

  Windows Virtual Desktop uses Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to provide remote display and input capabilities over network connections. RDP has initially released with Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition and was continuously evolving with every Microsoft Windows and Windows Server release. From the beginning, RDP developed to be independent of its underlying transport stack, and today it supports multiple types of transport.

  Reverse connect transport

  Windows Virtual Desktop is using reverse connect transport for establishing the remote session and for carrying RDP traffic. Unlike the on-premises Remote Desktop Services deployments, reverse connect transport doesn't use a TCP listener to receive incoming RDP connections. Instead, it is using outbound connectivity to the Windows Virtual Desktop infrastructure over the HTTPS connection.

  Session host communication channel

  Upon startup of the Windows Virtual Desktop session host, the Remote Desktop Agent Loader service establishes the Windows Virtual Desktop broker's persistent communication channel. This communication channel is layered on top of a secure Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection and serves as a bus for service message exchange between session host and Windows Virtual Desktop infrastructure.

  1. Using supported Windows Virtual Desktop client user subscribes to the Windows Virtual Desktop Workspace
  2. Azure Active Directory authenticates the user and returns the token used to enumerate resources available to a user
  3. Client passes token to the Windows Virtual Desktop feed subscription service
  4. Windows Virtual Desktop feed subscription service validates the token
  5. Windows Virtual Desktop feed subscription service passes the list of available desktops and RemoteApps back to the client in the form of digitally signed connection configuration
  6. Client stores the connection configuration for each available resource in a set of .rdp files
  7. When a user selects the resource to connect, the client uses the associated .rdp file and establishes the secure TLS 1.2 connection to the closest Windows Virtual Desktop gateway instance and passes the connection information
  8. Windows Virtual Desktop gateway validates the request and asks the Windows Virtual Desktop broker to orchestrate the connection
  9. Windows Virtual Desktop broker identifies the session host and uses the previously established persistent communication channel to initialize the connection
  10. Remote Desktop stack initiates the TLS 1.2 connection to the same Windows Virtual Desktop gateway instance as used by the client
  11. After both client and session host connected to the gateway, the gateway starts relaying the raw data between both endpoints, this establishes the base reverse connect transport for the RDP
  12. After the base transport is set, the client starts the RDP handshake

  Connection security

  TLS 1.2 is used for all connections initiated from the clients and session hosts to the Windows Virtual Desktop infrastructure components. Windows Virtual Desktop uses the same TLS 1.2 ciphers as Azure Front Door. It's important to make sure both client computers and session hosts can use these ciphers.For reverse connect transport, both client and session host connect to the Windows Virtual Desktop gateway. Mosin Nagant 91/30 serial, markings and other things of interest. OKay after going through all my cleaning, I must say I have a very beautiful Mosin Nagant. Though I am perplexed by the serial numbers, I do know it is a Tula made in 1942. Stock Marking I discovered is a Arms depot/refurbishment mark from a Soviet facility located in Ukraine.

  In the 1920's the Finnish authorities were beginning to re-evaluate the M91 as the country's primary infantry arm. Many of the examples in service were well worn and a good number required new barrels, stocks and other parts. Despite the country's best efforts to acquire these spares abroad, it was becoming evident that an update was needed. In 1924, the Civil Guard began building the M24, essentially an M91 with a heavier foreign made barrel and in some cases updated sights. The Army too was actively rebarelling numbers of M91's, but the Finns were not oblivious to the changes going on in other countries. It was becoming clear that the trend was toward shorter and better handling infantry rifles of a standard length for issue to most or all services within the armed forces. Both the Army and the Civil Guard then began experimenting with designs to supplement or even replace the M91 rifle.
  The Army was the first to field a new arm. Designated the M27, it had a shorter barrel than the M91, an improved front sight with protective ears and a rugged new nosecap, a reinforced Konovalov sight with wings that hugged the sight base and a ladder with a replaceable sighting blade as well as a variety of sling arrangements. To economize, these early M27s were constructed from M91 stocks cut down to the M27 configuration, though in later production purpose made-stocks with thicker dimensions became prevalent to minimize stock damage and splitting at the nosecap due to bayonet use, as well as further reinforcement of the nosecap.
  The civil guard, not wanting to be left behind by Army innovation, introduced their own updated design a year later in 1928, designated the M28. It shared many of the M27's design features, but with some notable differences. While the M27 had an elaborate and expensive to produce nosecap designed to lock the handguard in place, the M28 employed a milled front band reminiscent of the Mauser Gewehr 98 front band. The M28, like the M27 also made use of the older Konovalov rear sight design, but without the reinforcing tabs of the M27. It also used a different method of attaching a replaceable sighting plate. The rear band was narrower and had an undressed leading edge as opposed to the radiused edge of the wider M27 band. The front sight base retaining screw was forward of the sight blade on the M28, whereas the M27's screw is behind it. The M28 bayonet is virtually identical to the M27 bayonet with the exception that the M28 bayonet sports smoothly polished rivets on the grips.
  All M28's were stocked with modified one piece Russian M91 stocks that underwent conversion and were inspected and accepted by the Civil Guard workshop Suojeluskuntain Ase-ja Konepaja Osakeyhtiö (the fore-runner to SAKO). These original M28 stocks will all have an SYT cartouche surrounded by an oval in a finger groove on the side of the stock.
  All M28's were built on older Russian, French or American produced receivers fitted with a mix of parts salvaged from earlier rifles broken down for their components. Parts were inspected to ensure they were within specification and then re-used on new M28 rifles. Barrels were provided primarily by SIG (Schweiz Industrie Gessellscaft, Neuhausen) and Tikkakoski with less than 100 Sako produced barrels being used at the end of production.

  M28 production was eventually supplanted in in 1931 by the introduction of the M28/30 rifle. Deliveries of new M28's to units, however continued into 1932. Given the short production run and the losses experienced over the three wars in which the M28 was fielded, the M28 is one of the rarest Finnish infantry rifles a collector is likely to encounter today. Additionally, by the end of the Lapland war in 1945, the M28 was generally considered obsolete and thus was not subject to the rebuild and refurbishment programs that saw the refit of many of the M91's, M28/30's and M39's then in service. This accounts for the somewhat worn and battered condition M28's are often found in.
  In rare cases, it is possible to find an M28/30 with an M28 serial number. Individual members of the civil Guard could pay to send in their M28 rifles to be rebuilt to the M28/30 standard. Such rifles are exceedingly rare and are officially referred to as the M28-28/30.

  1. Relatively few M28's exist today. In fact, the M28 is a rarer rifle than the highly sought after M28/30 and the difficulty in sourcing one will confirm this. Most were imported to the United States well before the current influx of Finnish rifles, the most notable importation being by the Marathon Corp. The depicted rifle formed part of that importation and is so marked on the barrel. It is safe to assume that most M28's encountered in Canada will have been imported from the United States by Mosin Nagant enthusiasts and will be similarly marked. This is one case where an import marking will not affect value given rarity and prevalence.
  M28's will generally show considerable wear, use and abuse. Most will not show any signs of refurbishment and the stocks served long lives as M91 stocks before ever becoming an M28 stock. Many will have repairs or glued cracks dating from the time they were reconditioned into M28's. Finland was a very poor country in the 1920's and anything that could be repaired and made serviceable was used. Many will also have renumbered or mismatched bolts, again due to most examples not b]]>
